Help I want to go back to school

MsMel started this conversation

Hi
I am a 35 year old woman that has been trying to get my life straight, and go back to school.  I attended college for the first time in 1988 (after having a very turbulent academic career in high school) I found myself and started to grow as an artist as well as a scholar.  I had to leave school because of financial reasons, I just could not afford it.  My parents were having there own financial woes and were unable to help me.  Unfortunately, for the past 17 years have been filled with long hard work and lousy wages.  I could barely pay bills let alone pay off a student loan and school too.  Well here I am taking a step out on faith, hoping that there is someone who is blessed to be a blessing and will loan or preferable grant me the money to pay back the loan and go back to school.

you can pay back your own loan, a little at a time, just call the student loan company that has your loan and say, hey!! here is what i have will you accept this if they say no then ask for their address and your account number and ask them when you send a payment to them who do you send it to. and then let them know that a payment is coming and you do not know how much is coming and then start sending them in a money order from the post office and i guarantee you it will be added to your account, and they may fuss but who cares it is in your name and you are paying back your loans, but they will accept it, and soon they will see you trying to pay back your loan and that you are serious and guest what they will help you, you will see. so help your self.

Learn How to Get Scholarships

What you want are scholarships. You can get as many scholarships as you need. Are you aware that there are two kinds of scholarships? They are Needs based and Merit based. If you don’t qualify for the Needs based scholarships, you can probably find a Merit based scholarship if you look hard enough. Don't let the Merit part scare you. Most of the Merit based scholarships just want you to write an essay to qualify. These are the ones given by fraternal organizations, veterans organizations and the like. I have even seen them given by retail Business’s. Look first in your local area and then at the State and Federal level. Let everyone you meet know that you are looking for a scholarship, you never know what will turn up. A friend of mine got a $2000 scholarship for his daughter from a foundation that was set up by a person in their will. He found out about it from a friend of his friend. All his daughter had to do was write an essay about why she wanted to go to school. So keep looking, Don't give up. You might want to check out the website www.yourgrant.com/scholarships for more information and a list of scholarships available. Keep at it and you will succeed! Honest Grantt
